UPDATE: 4:00PM (AWST)  – 24th June

Please be advised of a derailment on the East/West rail line at Ooldea SA, which is 863km west of Port Augusta.

This will affect all services in and out of Perth.

Initial reports suggest that less than 500m of track has been damaged, with repair crews currently being mobilised.  No Sadleirs wagons or containers have been compromised.

Due to the remote location of this incident, recovery work is not expected to begin until tomorrow 25/6 afternoon.

At this stage there is no confirmation regarding track restoration, however early forecasts indicate the track may reopen late Monday 28/6 night or early Tuesday 29/6 morning.

Please liaise with your Sadleirs Representative for further information.
