As you are aware, there has been announcements by state and federal governments as to measures that are being put in place to further combat the spread of Covid-19.  This will include the closing of borders in the next 24 hours.

Please note that this will exclude the movement of freight by road, rail and air.

The various governments have declared that freight and logistics to be an essential service.

This means Sadleirs transport operations will continue to operate and will remain fully operational.

Sadleirs has been planning for some weeks for all potential outcomes including the closure of borders and what we need to do as a consequence of the virus.

We are very well placed to react quickly and have already implemented a number of measures including non-operational staff working from home on a rotation basis, segregating staff on our various sites around the country, increased the cleaning of our offices and facilities, limiting visitors to site, engaged the assistance of our corporate medical providers and have progressed negotiations to use alternate sites in the event that one of our operations is impacted.

We do ask customers for patience as a result of the significant delays we are experiencing at distribution centres due to the very high demand.

We are committed to maintaining our service to you and remain confident we are doing everything possible to ensure there is no disruption.

We will continue to provide you with regular updates.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require further information.

Kind regards,

David Cox
Chief Operating Officer
