Our Depots are fully operational and we are available to assist with your freight requirements.

Please contact your local Sadleirs Representative for further information.

We thank you for all your patience and support during the last few weeks and we are pleased to advise that the main line will re-open at midday on Tuesday 15th February 2022.

Recovery work is well ahead of schedule with crews having worked around the clock to fix damaged locations.

Whilst there will be some speed restrictions we are very happy that services in an out of Western Australia will resume.

We do expect there to be a very large backlog of freight, and we will do upmost to clear this as quickly as possible. Once the rail line is open, ETA’s of consignments will be available through the Sadleirs Portal.

We will send further updates around our Operation Plan once services resume.

Please contact your local Sadleirs Representative for further information.

Further to recent communications, please see here the latest update from ARTC in regards to track recovery works.

Please note that re-opening is not expected until at least 17th February due to the severity of damage and repairs.

We are looking at available options. Road is at a premium in terms of availability and cost and extremely difficult to source.

As we have moved to skeleton staff at our Depots we are unable to conduct any pick-ups for Perth orders.

We ask our Customers for patience as we work through this disruption.

We apologise for length of delay. We will continue to communicate as information becomes available, please contact your local Sadleirs Representative for further information.

Kind Regards,
Sadleirs Logistics Team

27/1/2022

We inform you that damage to the main East-West rail line is far worse than previously anticipated and due to severe damage we have been advised that the East-West corridor will be closed until at least Monday 7th February.

All East/West services have been cancelled to and including Monday 7th February.

Please note that we will not be in a position to make any further freight pick-up’s of East/West freight until rail services resume.

We apologise for any inconvenience to you and your customers, and will keep you updated as further information is provided by our rail provider.

25/1/2022

We have been advised by our Rail Provider that major structural damage has been identified and will keep the main East-West rail line closed until at least Sunday 30/01.

Significant earthworks are required at several locations to restore the track. Access to these locations is very difficult due to both the Eyre & Stuart Highways being closed due to washaways.

All services in and out of Perth are affected and will be delayed.  This will also affect freight pick-ups.

We will continue to provide further updates.

Should you require any further information please contact your local Sadleirs Representative.

24/1/2022

Following on from our advice on Friday, the main East-West rail line remains closed due to flooding and is scheduled to re-open on at 8pm Wednesday 26/1.

Please note that this will impact services in and out of Perth and will cause delays to freight.

We will continue to provide further updates.

Should you require any further information please contact your local Sadleirs Representative.

21/1/2022

Please be advised the main East-West rail line has been closed due to Floods between Coondambo and Lyons, approximately 300kms west of Port Augusta.

This will impact services in and out of Perth and will cause delays.

There is no scheduled reopening advised at this time, this will potentially affect freight pick-ups on Monday and Tuesday.

Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.

Should you require any further information please contact your local Sadleirs Representative.

Kind Regards,
Sadleirs Logistics Team
