What is happening?
Essential rail track maintenance will unfortunately disrupt interstate rail services between Sunday 16 August and Saturday 19 September 2026. During the maintenance period, some services will operate with reduced capacity or amended schedules, while others may be cancelled.
What customers will experience during this period
- Revised freight cut-off times and booking requirements
- Reduced capacity on selected interstate services
- Extended transit times, with some freight moving on the next available service
- Changes to estimated arrival and delivery dates
Consequently, customers should allow for increased transit times when planning freight movements during this period.
Our team is committed to minimising the impact of these disruptions and will endeavour to manage affected freight movements as effectively as possible.
