Customer Notice: Rail delays impacting Melbourne and some Sydney services

Following reports from Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) of a derailment near Newport (west of Melbourne) over the weekend, the rail line has been closed to allow safe recovery works to the track.

As a result, rail services are currently delayed, impacting services to and from Melbourne, with some Sydney services also affected.

At this stage, the rail line is estimated to reopen on Wednesday 24 December 2025. Our team continues to work closely with our rail partners to minimise disruption and manage freight movements as safely and efficiently as possible.

We will provide a further update if there is a change that impacts your service.
