Advice received early this morning reported a derailment of a train, west bound (ex Perth) between locations of Bates & Barton approximately 900 klm west of Adelaide. We have been advised of the 12 rail wagons derailed none are Sadleirs containers subsequently there is no damage to cargo.

The section of track is a single line and quite remote, repair crews and investigation teams are planned to be onsite by tomorrow (Sunday).

Train services between Perth - Eastern states & Kalgoorlie will be disrupted.

Once restoration of the track is underway or more information comes to hand we will be in position provide you more precise information.
